Common Core, the Constitution, Leftist Agendas and Education Standards

While it’s nice to see a student standing up against the Big Government/Big Education/Big Liberal Business machine (notice I made it singular; that’s because they’ve combined themselves into a single abomination), I have serious doubts that this will be anything other than a case of “in one ear, out the other”.  Leftists aren’t famous for listening to, or valuing, the opinions of others, especially those that don’t follow their leftist orthodoxy.

Common Core is yet another Big Government overreach, compliments of Barack Hussein Obama (http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=1511), and, more than likely, Valerie Jarrett (http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=2418).  I’m not so sure that they’re mentally incapable of understanding the fairly uncomplicated United States Constitution, as I am inclined to believe that they just don’t care about it, and think it’s something that should be replace by the laws they make on-the-fly.  

Perhaps it’s both.

In any event, it is, quite clearly, yet another example of Obama’s paying homage to the tried and true (and epic fail) social, fiscal and political philosophy of Communism.  As with his illegal, unconstitutional and unethical government takeover of the medical care system of the United States (an encore to his government takeover of 2/3 or the American automotive industry, another privately owned bloc of businesses), he’s seeking to take over the schools.  The automotive takeover (ostensibly called a “bailout”, and was a failure, considering the companies it paid out to still went bankrupt), the medical industry takeover (which has been, laughably, called being rendered “affordable”) and this education takeover all have the same motivation.  

Power.

Through the automotive industry, the government (i.e.:  Obama) can exert control over manufacturing (http://www.marxists.org/subject/left-wing/gik/1930/index.htm), which, in turn, controls many other industries in the country, including the energy industry.  Through Obamacare (http://www.theblaze.com/contributions/obamacare-didnt-fail-its-a-huge-success/), they can literally control the lives of others, even dictating when people will live or die.  Through the education system, they can start leftist indoctrination at the earliest ages, and perpetuate it, indefinitely (http://www.marxists.org/archive/bukharin/works/1920/abc/10.htm).  

Thus, Obama will be able to control your energy consumption, as well as if you even will have access to energy (petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity, etc.).  He’ll be able to control the vehicles you drive, if you’re even allowed to have a vehicle.  He’ll, ultimately, be able to remove, potentially, millions of vehicles from the roads, forcing people to conform to his leftist ideals of what constitutes an advanced transportation system:  a small amount of overpriced taxis, trains, busses and a small amount of under-performing, under sized, overpriced POVs.  They can control where you go, if you can get there, and monitor you, every step of the way.  They can control what pills you take, and make you take them.  They can control your diet.

They can deny you access to medicine, or even medical treatment.

Now, with the government takeover of Big Education, they can tell you what to think.  When a generation of idiots is turned out, with their heads filled with the stupidity a communist government considers education, they will pass that lack of education down to their offspring, who will, in turn, be pushed right back into the sausage making machine filled with people laughably called “teachers” to learn the same nothing their parents did, including political correctness (http://www.eagleforum.org/publications/educate/apr13/common-cores-political-agenda.html), revisionist history (http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/15283/) and fuzzy math (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/nicholas-tampio/common-core-math-standards_b_4180854.html).

Quite frankly, Common Core is what Mark Levin (https://www.facebook.com/marklevinshow/info) would call a ‘top-down, authoritarian’ system of control.  It is a partnership between Obama’s Big Government and the leftist factions of Big Business, and designed to literally suppress the People, molding them into something that can be more easily managed and controlled.  You control what they learn, what they can learn and how they learn it, all the while reserving a protected network of private education facilities for the ‘elites’ (the masterminds behind Big Government and Big Business – http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/on-education/2008/11/24/obama-girls-opt-for-a-posh-private-school / http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/06/matt-damon-private-school-public_n_3714091.html).  These people will literally be groomed from birth to be ‘leaders’ and ‘rulers’; the “ruling class”, lording over the serfs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serfdom) that come out of public schools.  Already, we’ve seen that the left believes the Constitution should be done away with, and replaced with some abomination made in their own twisted images.

So, there you have it.  Leftists want to abolish the Constitution, and replace it with yet another of their nonsense documents.  In this fantasyland of a post-constitutional America, rights come from government, and not from Jesus Christ or Natural Law.  The control of the education system is a key to this.  However, while I do contend that Obamacare can’t be “fixed” (you can’t “fix” an unconstitutional, immoral or unjust law; you can only abolish it, and/or replace it with something that conforms to law and order and justice), I do believe Common Core can be fixed.

How?

First, eliminate the unconstitutional Department of Education.  While President John Adams, for instance, believed that the federal government SHOULD control education, because he believed it so important, notice how my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather did not attempt to get Congress to pen unconstitutional, unjust legislation to pursue that agenda.  The bottom line is that, as President Ronald Wilson Reagan once said:  

Freedom is the recognition that no single person, no single authority or government has a monopoly on the truth, but that every individual life is infinitely precious, that every one of us put in this world has been put there for a reason and has something to offer. It’s so hard for government planners, no matter how sophisticated, to ever substitute for millions of individuals working night and day to make their dreams come true. The fact is, bureaucracies are a problem around the world.”

Which would you rather your children learn?  The schools, for one, aren’t places where morality should be taught; morality should be learned in the home, with the parents, and with the churches and synagogues.  

Now, as for Common Core, itself, as I’ve said, it’s an unhealthy melding of left wing politicians and left wing industrialists.  If there has to be a “common core” education standard, it should be constructed at the school system level, not the federal level.  Parents in Michigan might not want to have their children learning the same standards (or lack thereof) that children in New York are forced to learn.

Another step in the creation of a real and effective education system would be the elimination of teachers unions, which is being done in some parts of the country, with good results.

Once Big Government, Big Education and Big Labor are eliminated from the equation, then you can get to work.  Big Business, if not allowed to call the shots, can have a place in education.  For instance, say you want to build a curriculum of teaching electronics  (a very valuable skill in the 21st century).  Would it be illogical to call in experts from Intel, Samsung Electronics, IBM, Sony and HP to help craft that curriculum, working side-by-side with local educators from the school system – or systems – in question?  If you wanted software classes, why wouldn’t you have qualified teachers working alongside experts from Microsoft, Google and Oracle?  Etc.  The third party that should be involved in the crafting of classes is the PEOPLE, also known as the PARENTS.  Ultimate control over schools and what they teach should always be left to the parents, because teachers, thus far, have, for the most part, shown themselves to be the types that are more willing to go with the orthodoxy of Big Government, Big Labor and Big Education, over the Will of the People, even going as far as to dictate to the People what they will, and will not, accept.  The bottom line is that schools are there to teach.  It isn’t the job of the federal government to do that, because the federal government seems to believe indoctrination is teaching, and it isn’t.   

Control the education of your kids, and you will insure they will have a future they will stand a chance in.  Leave it to chance (Big Government, Big Labor and Big Education), and you all but ensure failure.
